Aida El-Oweidy

Aida El-Oweidy is an Egyptian visual artist, designer and storyteller. Her work explores memory, and the social power found in everyday mundanities. Her practice is research-based and centers collectivity and collaborative processes. Most recently her work has been focused on creating & exploring new narratives to explore our relationships to the spaces around us. She participated in the University of the Underground Turquoise Desert research bureau in 2020 and her VR experience 'Stories that sustain us' was exhibited at Roznama at Medrar contemporary art space in 2021.

عايدة العويدي فنانة تشكيلية ومصممة وروائية مصرية. يستكشف عملها الذاكرة، والقوة الاجتماعية الموجودة في الحياة اليومية العادية. ممارستها تقوم على أساس البحث ومراكز التجميع والعمليات التعاونية. ركز عملها مؤخرًا على إنشاء واستكشاف روايات جديدة للبحث عن علاقاتنا بالعالم من حولنا. شاركت في مكتب أبحاث جامعة اندركراوند تركويز ديزيرت عام 2020 تم عرض تجربتها للواقع الافتراضي "القصص التي تدعمنا" في روزناما في مدرار للفن المعاصر في عام 2021.
