Dina A.Mohamed is a social thinker with across dispensary background and practice. She works through different mediums of video, performance and writing. Her research and artistic practice are concerned with understanding the political despondency caused by complex intertwining structures of economics, politics and information technology. She is busy with the question of how can individuals and groups regain political agency under the deterministic logic of technology and the overflow of information. More importantly, how can such information be turned into knowledge.
Dina has recently obtained an MA degree in Art Praxis from the Dutch Art Institute, ArtEZ university, NL. She has a BA in philosophy from the American University in Cairo. She worked as a Human Rights advocate in Cairo, before leaving the country and shifting her pass to art praxis. She is currently living in Amsterdam, NL.

دينا محمد هي مفكرة اجتماعية لها خلفية وممارسة في مستوصف صحي. تعمل من خلال وسائط مختلفة من الفيديو والأداء والكتابة. تهتم أبحاثها وممارستها الفنية بفهم الفشل السياسي الناجم عن الهياكل المتشابكة المعقدة للاقتصاد والسياسة وتكنولوجيا المعلومات. إنها مشغولة بمسألة كيف يمكن للأفراد والجماعات استعادة الوكالة السياسية في ظل التكنولوجيا وفيض المعلومات. والأهم كيف يمكن تحويل هذه المعلومات إلى معرفة. حصلت دينا مؤخرًا على درجة الماجستير في الفنون التطبيقية من المعهد الهولندي للفنون، جامعة ArtEZ ، NL. حاصلة على بكالوريوس في الفلسفة من الجامعة الأمريكية بالقاهرة. عملت كمدافعة عن حقوق الإنسان في القاهرة، قبل أن تغادر البلاد وتتحول إلى ممارسة الفن. تعيش حاليًا في أمستردام ، NL.
